These are the main questions people ask before installing: what gets touched, how reversible the cleanup is, and how much control stays with the account owner.
Does this permanently delete anything?
No. Matching emails are moved to Gmail Trash, where Google keeps them for 30 days.
What gets cleaned?
Old, already-read emails that do not have protected labels. By default, the app targets messages older than 90 days, focusing on categories like Promotions, Social, Updates, and Forums.
Can I protect important labels?
Yes. Protected labels are part of setup and settings, and anything excluded stays untouched. Starred and Sent emails are also protected automatically.
Do I have to understand Apps Script?
No. The flow is designed so you can install, preview, and manage the cleanup without opening the Apps Script editor.
Can I stop it later?
Yes. The dashboard includes pause, settings, and uninstall actions. You can also revoke Google access manually at any time.
